There are three programs available for your use for uploading and/or downloading the SA/STA readers if you do not want to write your own software for doing this.
Each of these programs assumes that the SA/STA reader you are communicating with is connected to COM port 1, and the reader is set for 9600 baud, 8 data bits, no parity (IBC default).
The three programs are:
| Stadown | This
program will download into an SA/STA reader valid
emploeee numbers and schedule numbers. The data to
download is located in file STADOWN.DAT, and contains the
following data: positions 1-3 schedule
number The schedule number can be any valid schedule number between 000 and 100. 000 refers to the default schedule, which means that there is no schedule information for this employee. Please note that there is no way to download schedules using this program, only employee id numbers. This
program uses an AN command to add the employee numbers,
which is an ADD with NO CHECKING. This means it is
possible to add the same employee id number twice, so you
should check your data file for duplicates before
downloading the data. |
| Staup | This
program will upload from an SA/STA reader the emploeee
numbers and schedule numbers which are currently in the
reader. The data is uploaded into a file named STAUP.DAT,
and contains the following data: positions
1-3 schedule number |
| Stauplog | This program will upload from an STA reader the transactional log of all data in the reader. The format of the data is the date/time followed by the employee number, and is the same format as described in the manual for the ul command. |
